"Import Images As Planes" AddOn does not work with blend4web

Such add-on as "Import Images As Planes" does not work, when render engine is Blend4Web.
Some options are missing from the import menu and after clicking "import", nothing appears.

Yes, we reproduced the problem. Thanks for bugreport, we'll try to fix this in the next release.
Blend4web and that kind of thing.

Here is more info. The issue is rather related to the add-on itself. Perhaps Alexander Romanov will be able to suggest a better solution when he is back from his vacation.
