We are happy to announce the beginning of our next contest! This time the theme will appeal to almost everyone because this is what a lot of 3D artists started with! Oh, who never wanted to model a nice car? Everyone had! :) Well, almost everyone.
But it won't just be a car contest. We'd love to feel this beautiful nostalgia, to breathe out the words "Oh, the good old days", to see the classic looks everyone is familiar with. And, we believe that contestants can pass on this magnificent feeling that comes with the words "retro cars".
So, Retro Cars it is. Try to pass on the vintage feel of 19**'s. We won't even stick to a certain culture or tide — create your favourite automobile of the bygone era, let it live once more — and win!
How well the model is done, how appealing it looks and how complex it is.
Originality of the project and how interesting it is, how much of a retro vibe it has.
Optimization, mobile device compatibility, animation, interactivity, glitches.

The contest officially begins October 4, 2016. You can, of course, start brainstorming before this date or join the contest any time after!
The submission deadline is November 7, 2016.
Winners will be announced November 10, 2016.
1The scene must correspond with the theme of the contest.
4Each step of the work process must be done by the contestant him/herself. The contestant can also record the project's progress on the forums.
2Models used in a presentation must be unique, made specifically for this contest (no BlendSwap, etc).
5The work must be completed and submitted by midnight of the deadline date (your local time).
3Source files (.blend files, textures, etc) and programming code (if any) must be published under the CC BY 4.0 license.
!Please make sure the project actually works before submitting it! Entries without working source files will be disqualified.

1Obviously the work must be done using Blend4Web.
2The result must be presented as a screenshot and a zip archive with source files, attached to a forum post. This forum post must have a link for running the live web application right away.
3The scene polygon limit is 100k triangles (measured within the Scene Viewer).
4Textures must be a power of two (for example 1024x1024, 128x512) with the recommended maximum 1024 px (unless you are packing them in atlases). Exceptions are cubemaps as they have an aspect ratio of 3:2 and must be a power of two vertically (for example 768x512).
5The scene must be optimized. Keep the balance between details and polygon count, quality and texture resolution. Whenever possible, pack black and white textures into RGBA channels; combine multiple node materials into one using masks. Use heavy effects (such as SSAO) wisely!
